Writers’ Workshops: a Festival collaboration with The Porch

We are proud to welcome our literary friends from Nashville’s The Porch back to the Southern Festival of Books with four facilitated writing workshops before the Festival officially begins. For years, attendees have requested that we offer opportunities for writers to engage with each other and the written word.
Through our collaboration with The Porch, we’re thrilled to offer the followed workshops on Friday, Oct. 25th:
- 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. Unlocking Emotion to Strengthen Your Story with Shawntelle Madison
- 10:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Creating Remix Poetry with Darnell Arnoult
- 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. The Sentence is a Place to Play with Justin Taylor
- 2:45 – 4:15 p.m. Writing Life Stories, With Music with Ann Powers
