Your Drop Matters: Protecting Life in Tennessee Streams

Ocoee-Hiwassee State Park hosts Dr. Anna George, Vice President of Conservation Science and Education at the Tennessee Aquarium, for a public discussion. The streams and rivers in the southeastern United States are home to an underwater rainforest teeming with life. Unfortunately, these freshwater animals and habitats are among the most imperiled on Earth. Dr. George will discuss how can we can begin to solve the freshwater crisis starting with small changes in our backyard.

Tuesday, August 29th, 7pm, Etowah Community Center, Etowah, TN

The event is part of Water|Ways, a Smithsonian exhibit on view in the park's visitor center, August 12-Sept. 24, and made possible by Humanities Tennessee.
