"Memories of a Massacre" Project - Book Discussion

As part of the "Memories of a Massacre: Memphis in 1866" project, Drs. Beverly Bond and Susan O'Donovan will facilitate a discussion of Leonard Pitts' book, Freeman, a novel about slavery, emanicipation, and reconstruction. The discussion is from 12:15-1:15p in the Mc McWherter Library at the University of Memphis (126 Ned Mcwherter Library, Memphis, TN 38152).

An exhibition, "Hallowed Grounds: Sites of African American Memories - Memphis in the 1860s" will also be on display in McWherter Library's first floor lobby.
