Clay Risen: Book Release & Whiskey Tasting Event

Humanities Tennessee will host a whiskey tasting and book release party for Brooklyn-via-Nashville author Clay Risen's new guidebook, American Whiskey, Bourbon & Rye: A Guide to the Nation's Favorite Spirit, on October 25th, 7pm, at Barista Parlor in East Nashville. 

Clay Risen is an editor at the New York Times whose work has appeared in The New Republic, Smithsonian, and the New York Times Sunday Magazine. Discerning drinkers will savor his latest book, the only guidebook devoted solely to US-made whiskey, rye, and bourbon.

The evening's tasting will feature a select four distilleries from Tennessee and Kentucky. Full suggested ticket price ($35--a $5 savings) includes a copy of American Whiskey, Bourbon & Rye, along with hors d'oeuvres and conversation. A la carte tasting tickets ($15) are also available.

All proceeds will benefit Humanities Tennessee.
