Support Humanities Tennessee

With your gift to Humanities Tennessee, you help to promote humanities-based programs throughout the state. Each year, governmental funding for the humanities decreases. We rely on donations from individuals, foundations, and corporations to present programs like the annual Southern Festival of Books, the Tennessee Young Writers’ Workshop, Community History programs, Chapter 16, and more. We appreciate your support!

Donor Spotlight

Our current Donor Spotlight features Marilyn Kallet, who has supported Humanities Tennessee and our programs since 2005. We took some time to learn a bit more about Dr. Kallet and her love of the on!

Why/in what ways are the humanities important in your life?
The humanities help to make us human. I have published 18 books, seven of them poetry. My daughter Heather Gross is an accomplished musician.
We all need the arts to express who we are and want to me.
