PRESSING CONCERNS: THE STATE OF THE FREE PRESS IN NASHVILLE

Join us on March 13 for an event exploring media and the First Amendment
PRESSING CONCERNS
7:30 PM | Tuesday, March 13, 2018
Third Coast Comedy Club in Marathon Village
(1310 Clinton Street, Suite 121, Nashville, TN 37203)

A celebrated TV anchor is taken off air. Fake news lurks on social media. The sole-remaining alt-weekly is put up for sale. This is the modern media milieu in Music City.

Humanities Tennessee and PEN America join forces to explore the health of Nashville's local press and its power to engage and inform citizens. Join us on March 13 for this entertaining and interactive event.

Demetria Kalodimos—longtime journalist and former WSMV-Channel 4 anchor—will talk with Steve Cavendish—former editor-in-chief of the Nashville Scene

Plus Ken Paulson—former editor-in-chief of USA Today and current president of the First Amendment Center—will provide a fun and interactive look at the first amendment.

Be prepared for surprises, prizes, and a strengthened compulsion to support the free press here, there, and everywhere.
